Born from the merging of The Nord Center’s mental health expertise and LCADA Way’s addiction recovery services, we offer a seamless, integrated approach to behavioral health. This journey began with two exceptional organizations: The Nord Center and The LCADA Way, both dedicated to transforming lives through their specialized approaches to mental health and addiction recovery.
The Nord Center
Founded in 1947 and named in 1970 to honor Walter G. Nord—an entrepreneurial visionary and philanthropist—The Nord Center quickly became a beacon of mental health services in Lorain County. Walter Nord's legacy of corporate and community leadership, alongside the philanthropy of the Nord Family Foundation, laid the groundwork for decades of comprehensive care, supporting countless individuals on their path to mental wellness.
The LCADA Way
In 1981, The LCADA Way emerged as a leader in addiction recovery, championing a compassionate, client-centric model. Rebranded in 2015 to reflect its core values—Leadership, Compassion, Awareness, Dedication, and Advocacy—The LCADA Way expanded its mission to include an array of gender- and culturally-responsive services, with facilities in three Northeast Ohio counties. Their commitment to transforming individuals, families, and communities cemented their reputation as a center of excellence.
