Our New Name, Our Continued Commitment to Community Well-being

Lorain County, OH, August 1, 2024 – Today, we proudly introduce Riveon Mental Health and Recovery, a new name—and new look—representing the powerful union of The Nord Center and The LCADA Way. This name embodies our mission to provide comprehensive behavioral health and addiction services that offer hope, healing, and continuous support to our community.

A Name That Reflects Our Mission
Riveon signifies our dedication to guiding individuals on their journey to recovery and well-being. By combining the mental health services of The Nord Center with The LCADA Way’s expertise in addiction recovery, Riveon is poised to deliver a truly integrated approach to whole-person healing.

“This collaboration represents a big win for our community,” said Don Schiffbauer, CEO of Riveon, following the merge.  “Bringing the expertise of these two top-notch organizations together under one roof improves access to care through a ground-breaking ‘no wrong door approach’ to behavioral healthcare and substance use disorder.”

Background of the Merger
The merger of The Nord Center and The LCADA Way, announced in January, stems from a historically strong working relationship and shared goals. By uniting strengths, Riveon is better positioned to deliver critical healthcare services and champion key projects which best serve the community. By addressing mental, emotional, and physical health, our seamless, all-inclusive care model simplifies the path to recovery, significantly improving chances of recovery and achieving a fulfilling life.

“We now treat the whole person.” said Dan Haight, COO of Riveon. “Together, we tackle the root issues of behavioral health and substance abuse. At Riveon, we adapt to our clients’ needs, empowering them
to navigate their recovery journey with resilience and continuous growth. We provide the resources and support necessary at every turn—Always here. Always ready.”

Looking to the Future
Moving forward, Riveon will begin the transition to this new entity. A website will be launched
in phases starting this fall, providing a comprehensive resource for information and support.

We will continue to work closely with clients, their families, and a network of partners, including law enforcement, educators, healthcare providers and community organizations. This collaborative approach enhances our ability to deliver high-quality care leading to a more resilient and cohesive community.
