THE MIND OVER MILES 5K RUN AND 1M WALK (SEPTEMBER 27, 2026)

The Mind over Miles 5K Run and 1M Walk brings together runners, walkers, businesses and community partners. This event provides support that makes a significant difference in the health of our community. Riveon offers prevention, treatment and advocacy services through 6 core programs: adult behavioral health, children’s behavioral health, crisis services, sexual assault services, substance abuse treatment and residential and housing services. These programs serve over 10,000 people per year in and around Lorain County.

Donations

An unrestricted corporate gift puts your investment to work immediately where it is needed most. We will apply your tax-deductible gift to prevention programs, education and individualized client-centric treatment designed specifically to help each person in their personal recovery.

We graciously accept in-kind donations throughout the year. One favorite support area is in providing materials to The Key Women’s Center, providing furniture, supplies and day-to-day living materials, or supporting our transportation needs with mini-vans, car maintenance, tires and gas expenses.

Other Ways YOU can Give

CHARITABLE GIFT BY WILL

The most common type of gift is providing a bequest of cash, personal property or real estate. These gifts are not subject to federal estate tax.

GIFT OF YOUR HOME

You may make a gift of your personal residence to a charity and retain the right to live in the home for the rest of your life.

CHARITABLE LEAD TRUST

You may choose to set up a trust that pays income annually to a charity for a fixed number of years. After that period, the principal of the trust reverts to you or another person. The income paid is not taxable.

CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUST

Establishing an irrevocable trust that provides an annual income to the donor and/or another person for life or a period of years is often an effective way to make a gift. These trusts may be set up by the donor’s will, directing the income to another person such as a child or a spouse, followed by the principal going to a favorite charity.
